Don't Wait in Line, Buy Online

One of my pet peeves is that people tend to overlook Thanksgiving. I prefer Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving. However, you must prepare ahead of time so you will have all the necessities when it comes time to clean up after Thanksgiving dinner and begin to prepare your home for the Christmas season. If you wait until after Thanksgiving to purchase decorations or any other necessary decorating supplies, you will find yourself battling the Black Friday lines, waiting for what will seem like forever just to purchase Command Strips or the little hooks for hanging your great grandmother's Christmas balls. Please don't put yourself through that. Save Black Friday for the fun of shopping for gifts. Instead, buy your Christmas decorations now. Buy them online. Then, sit back and relax. Enjoy preparing for Thanksgiving and enjoy time with our family on that special day while your decorations take turns arriving at your door. Then, after Thanksgiving dinner is done, go out and enjoy Christmas shopping in the midst of the Black Friday mobs - or not. After you recover from the madness, as fun as it might be, open up the decorations and begin adorning your home for the Christmas season, wrap your Black Friday gifts, light the Christmas tree, light the Christmas candles, build a Christmas fire in the fireplace, and enjoy the season.

Ebay

Don't be afraid to purchase new and gently used Christmas decorations on Ebay. Be sure to check the seller's feedback score. I never purchase from anyone with lower than a 98% positive score. Everyone can make a mistake and some buyers will leave negative feedback when it wasn't necessary so give the seller the benefit of the doubt by at least 2%. However, if the seller has less than a 100% positive score, click on the score to find a list of feedback from buyers. Scroll down and see why a buyer left the seller neutral or negative feedback. You might be surprised to learn that the seller didn't deserve anything other than positive. Then, sometimes the neutral or negative feedback was warranted. Just be sure to check out the seller and purchase your Christmas decorations from a trustworthy seller. Sellers usually promise to ship within ten days, but most of them ship sooner. If the seller's shipping price is based on standard or UPS shipping rates, you can send them a message and ask them to ship via Priority Mail. The seller may or may not agree. If they ship Priority Mail, you will receive the decorations sooner, but you will need to be prepared to pay the seller more for Priority Mail shipping. Go ahead, browse Ebay and enjoy shopping from the comfort of your home.

Amazon

Amazon is another source for purchasing Christmas decorations online. You will find sticker and vinyl clings for your walls and windows. Be careful about applying stickers to your walls, but have fun placing them on your windows. Garlands make great decorations for stairways, fireplace mantles, and doorways. If you prefer lighted garlands, you will find those on Amazon too. Enjoy shopping for Christmas tree ornaments, balls, and wrapping paper. You will find everything you need to decorate the tree and the packages. You might even find a tree.

Retail Websites

If you can't fine what you need on Ebay or Amazon, shop retail store websites. Sometimes you can find Black Friday deals on websites early and some of those great deals apply to Christmas decorations as well as gift items.
